The meeting of over 2,400 scientists which include Demis Hassabis at the Google DeepMind and Elon Musk at the US rocket company SpaceX was held recently.

The meeting of over 2400 top scientists all over the world were has the aim of finding ways of protecting humans against dangerous artificial intelligence machines like the AI robots and the building of such technology into the weapon system.

The overall intention is to deter military firms and nations from building the lethal autonomous weapons systems which are believed to become a law.

The move to stop such by the scientists is to ensure that humans will be safe to live together with AI machines which modern robots are inclusive.

Developing and building such AI machines for the purpose of killing, stealing, intimidation, or into any form of weapon can make humans unsafe to live together with AI machines.

For that reason, more than twenty-four thousands of the top leading scientists in the robotic and Artificial intelligence inventions across the globe came together to sign a paper that will stand as a rule to the extent which such machines were to be made to avoid abuse and endangering human lives.

The scientists showed concern about why they should not rely wholly on the machines to handle critical decisions involving the life and death of humans without human monitoring and control.

They also asked the global authority concerned to place a ban on any form of AI Machine or new technology that campaigns to have the ability of mass destruction of lives and properties.

That such should be treated as a case of the weapon of mass destruction.

According to the Guardian publication, the pledge was orchestrated by the Boston-based organization.

The Future of Life Institute, and called on governments to agree norms, laws, and regulations that stigmatize and effectively outlaw the development of killer robots.

Because such measure is not in place currently, the signatories pledge to “neither participate in nor support the development, manufacture, trade, or use of lethal autonomous weapons.”

In the pledge, more than 150 Artificial Intelligence related firms and organizations added their names which will be announced today to the International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence in Stockholm.
