Features of Semi-automatic Mason Machine
A new technological leading firm has just dropped another incredible robotic bricks and blocks laying machine called SAM which means Semi-automatic mason, this machine may actually displace humans that depend on making their daily living as bricks or block layers.
Though it requires a little team of human assistant the output and performance speak volume on how possible bricklayers may not be needed, rather site engineers will be working directly with the machine to achieve the desired goal.
The machine stands to become a major requirement for the civil engineering and construction industries, due to its incredible functionalities coupled with accuracy.
It is believed that the machine can sack over 10 workers performing the same functions of the machine, the reason is that those workers may not be needed anymore; except another portfolio will be assigned to them.
The machine was made by the construction robotics and caused half a million dollars. Despite the huge cost, its perfect performance has paid off for the cost.
While humans that specialized in laying blocks and bricks can lay between 300 to 500 blocks per day from each layer and the laborer, the robotic machine can lay between 800 to 1200 blocks in a day on a smooth average speed.
While a human block layer will require a laborer to be supplying the blocks and the mortar, the robotic machine will need no laborer because the blocks are automatically fed into the clamping arms with the mortar located just below the arms to mix any edge of the block with mortar before laying it.
Can this robotic machine be the answer to the future predictions of robots? Few engineers at the site supervising the walls laid by this machine and found them to be incredibly accurate which is more accurate to those made by humans.
Perhaps, the global economic forum was right on their predictions of robots taking over humans’ job before 2050.
Note that this machine is now commercialized and may be on Amazon machine stores
