What do we call the Newly Manufactured Flying Car?

You can call it a passenger drone or a newly Manufactured Flying Car. Whichever name you choose, the meaning is not far from each other. Though the inventors refer to it as the flying car in terms of its features it could be best described as a passenger drone.

What is the difference between a passenger drone and a flying car?

What is a passenger drone?

A passenger drone is a flying drone that can carry someone irrespective of the number of persons it can carry.  Passenger drones either be controlled remotely or controlled by the passenger inside them, or a combination of the two.

Passenger drones usually undergo vertical take-off while some advanced designs in the form of airplanes can embark on runway take-off. It is usually light in weight and bears few parts.

Passenger drones do not move on the road as cars do rather they operate like every other aircraft by taking offing and landing whenever and wherever necessary. In other words, while cars need an engine to move their tires to run on the road, passenger drones don’t need tires or an engine to run on the road.

The engines in passenger drones are the electric motors powering rotors (propellers) that it uses to create their movement.

So if a passenger drone will need to run on the road like a car it will need tires but the tires can only move with the help of the rotors (propellers) of the drone not a direct engine like that of cars.

What is a Flying Car?

Now you have known what a passenger drone is like we discuss flying cars.  What is a Flying Car? This has been the question on many blog platforms.

A Flying Car is any vehicle that can move on the roads with the help of tires as well as fly in the air whenever it is necessary with the help of rotors (propellers) or jet engines.

A flying car combines the features of a Car and a passenger drone. It usually travels on the road like every other car though the design may vary from a normal car and when it is necessary to fly the car converts its features to a flying drone and embark on either vertical take-off or runway take-off.

From the above explanation, we can best describe this new invention as a passenger drone. Though referred to as a flying car, its features give it the best name as a passenger drone.

The drone is one of the most stable and well-designed passenger drones. The features equally surpassed some of the passenger drones made in the past by many inventors. For instance:

The drone has sixteen (16) powerful electric motors powered by a Lithium-ion power-bank battery.

The lithium-on Power-bank battery can keep the sixteen (16) electric motors running for over six hours

This implies that the passenger drone can maintain at least four (4) hours of stable flight. An ideal drone for long-distance travel and deep/terrane flight.

The passenger drone has eight (8) horns made with an alloyed light metallic material. They are positioned at the equilibrium sides of the drone to ensure stability and optimum flight experience.

Each of the horns carries two (2) powerful electric motors while the same is mounted on the other side of the drone to maintain equilibrium. The total number of electric motors with rotors is sixteen (16) positioned in different equilibrium points.

The horns are chained together in two pairs using strong and light metallic alloyed material. In other words, each of the two horns is connected together to keep them stable against the high vibrations coming from the electric motors.

The drone has one seat for a single passenger. It can only carry one passenger at a time.

It can only execute vertical take-off and landing.

Its stability allows it to make smooth and stable circular turns in 360 degrees. And it can reach a very high altitude in terms of the height of flight from the ground. The video below explains how it worked during its first testing flight.
