What are the Features Of The Cable Robot
In the heat of COVID-19 challenges, European researchers are not backing down on the invention of new technology. Recent a new robot has been unveiled by the European Union researchers as a ‘Cable robot’.
A cable robot is a prototype robot meant for construction and installation jobs. The robot uses eight cables to move across big building facades. It has the ability to pick and place heavy curtain walls or solar panels with millimeter precision.
A cable robot is a multipurpose robot meant for construction site works and will be commercialized in less than 15 years’ time to take over most tasks on the construction sites.
This new robot is known as the ‘Cable Robot’ has designed for safety purposes to ensure safer, faster installation, and maintenance tasks. The Researchers say it could become a market reality in less than 15 years from now.
Inventions like this one are among the advancements of artificial intelligence which had been moving the world towards achieving its goal of having Robots in almost all sectors and possibly taking over most tedious jobs from humans.
Construction industries in the past recorded lots of casualties and loss of their best brains and engineers in carrying out one task or the other during construction jobs.
Even the modern construction industries have not stopped recording casualties while constructing some construction projects though the number or ratio from the previous industries has reduced enormously.
The latest move by the European Union Researchers is another step toward helping the construction industries to have options such as using Robots to carry out some tedious and dangerous jobs which ordinary could endanger the life of human workers.
Imagine having a robot that could climb the building and gets to the roof to install Solar Panels. Imagine a robot that helps to convey beams or wood to building workers on the top of the building.
Imagine having a Robot that changes your leaking roofing sheets, imagine having a robot that conveys molten metals in the foundries, imagine having a robot that can cross beams during bridge construction, and lots more.
These categories of robots cannot be ignored by the engineering and construction industries because of the enormous gains from them. The above prototype of cable robots now raises hope for the industries and gets them prepared for an accident-free age during any site job.
There could be other robots in the future with similar functionalities through different designs, all of them will work towards the same goal of reducing death rates during construction jobs in the construction industries and could possibly eliminate the death of site workers completely.
Though the making of this robot is still in the experimental stage, there is a total conviction from the Researchers that the robot is nothing less than 100 percent successful.
A breakthrough will have been waiting for the advancement of ai robots and their dominance as predicted earlier by experts. We are now heading towards the age of robot dominance and its occupation of almost all human jobs.
This #robot could make Europe’s construction industry more efficient.
