Creating a YouTube channel doesn’t take time at all. You can create a YouTube channel using a Google account.
1.Go to YouTube and Sign in.
At the top right corner of the page, you’ll see “sign-in”. Then you log in using a Google account you want to link to your YouTube channel.
2.Navigate to YouTube settings.
Click on your profile icon at the top right corner of the page, and click on “create a channel”.
3.Create your channel.
There will be options for you to choose between creating a personal channel or create a channel with a business name. The “use custom name option is advisable for small businesses. Then you will now name your channel.
After doing this, you can explore other options like uploading a profile picture, adding a channel description, adding external links to your channel.
How to enhance your YouTube channel
1.Your Channel description should be well optimized
There is a space provided by YouTube for you to write certain things about the content that you are offering to share. YouTube limited the description write up to about 1000 words long.
So there is chance for you to be creative. The copy of the description you made isn’t just limited to your channel page alone. It is indexed by other search engines.
2.Include a channel trailer.
When visitors come across your channel, you would want to give them an in-depth view of the type of content offered by your channel and why they should subscribe and check out your vidoes.
You need a channel trailer to do this. A brief, straightforward channel trailer can be a good way to introduce people to your content. The channel trailer is meant to catch viewers attention once it starts and also represents the type of content you create on YouTube.
Another thing you should know is you have to think carefully about the description you’re adding to your video as it will be clearly shown on your channel homepage.
3.Include your contact details.
If you’re a business person using YouTube to sell your content, it will be nice for you to have your contact details on hand for anybody who may be interested in your work. YouTube provided a section where you can list your contact details for business inquiries.
You can find this in the “about” section of your channel. To locate this, go to your channel homepage, click on “About” from the navigation and then scroll down to “details”. There an option to fill in your email address will be shown.
