Why are Surface pumps not recommended for deep boreholes?

Surface Pumps are not recommended for deep boreholes because of the technical problems that they will be giving due to the inability to suck water with ease in deep boreholes. Depending on the horsepower of the surface pump, most low horsepower surface pumps cannot work effectively in boreholes above 50feet depth. The recommended pump for deep boreholes is the submersible pump because it will work effectively is sucking the water and delivering it to the needed height.
