Mars Exploration: NASA Builds Tiny Robots To Join Marscopter

HOW ROBOTS HAVE IMPROVED THE EXISTENCE OF MANKIND

Based on its agenda to launch an unmanned air vehicle known Mars copter on the surface of Mars in few years to come, the US space research body, has gone ahead to make new robotic machines that would assist the marscopter in the gathering of the information needed from the red planet.

The transformable AI robots can walk on the planet’s surface while conducting an automated research on it. The transformation features will help the machines to maneuver obstacles on the planet surface.

When tested, the sets of AI machines were seen working together in transformable ways to achieve the intended. The new robotic machine will assist the initial robotic aircraft “Marscopter” for the success of the Mars exploration in a few years from now, according to NASA.

Despite the newly made AI machines, the Space research body believes a lot still needs to be done for the success of the journey to Mars.

It is a mission believed to be one of its kind since no human landing had ever been made on the Mars surface due to the environmental factors of the red planet.

The mission will focus on obtaining all the needed data from the planet using the Robotic machines and Marscopter so that the obtained data can be analyzed and use in the making of human-piloted aircrafts for human landing on Mars surface.

Though no promise of further AI machines had been made by NASA, there are speculations that NASA had already started the building of a special human-pilot aircraft for immediate landing once the visit with the AI machines becomes successful.

While using the AI machines like the Marscopter and the AI robots, their human monitoring team and operators may by hovering outside the planet very close enough to receive the needed signals from the AI machines.
