Thank you for reaching out to us for a suggestion regarding your building plan and its roofing design. Actually, the height of any roof is solely based on the builder's design. Having high roof may not really have any serious disadvantage but in terms of cost it will consume more material in accordance to the height of the roof. In other words, the higher the height- the more roofing sheets it consumes. High elevation roof offers beauty to the building but incur extra cost to the owner of the building. If you check the cost of the 16ft height to be what you can afford then you may go ahead otherwise consider going for low heights from 9ft, 10ft, 12ft, etc. Meanwhile, before making the decision try to reason with the builder and understand why he chose the 16ft height for the roof. If the reason has any tangible advantage other than offering beauty to the house then go ahead and change it to the height you can afford. Do not hesitate to reach out to us for further question if the need be. Thank you for being part of us.
