New homemade engineering was revealed a few days ago by an experienced craftsman. The detail of the information revealed a mobile mini-house built on water. The house was designed and built by the user using locally sourced materials and buying of few important parts.
From the front view, the homemade mini house looks like a comfortable self-contain apartment floating on water. Using the right floating support equipment, the engineer was able to make about four lineups of banana-shaped floating apparatus in which the entire base of the house rests.
The arrangement mentioned above makes it impossible for any part of the house to have any direct contact with water. It made the space between the water and the base of the mini-house to be above 2 feet which is enough to keep it safe in the case of a storm.
The metal skeleton was fixed rigidly t the floating support while plastics and tarpaulins make up the rest of the body decoration. The floating support also made the space created at the front possible, giving a feature of a resting home for those seeking silent places and direct touch with nature.
To aid its mobility, a small internal combustion engine is attached to the front center between two floating support. The engine can be used at any time to transport the house to any place on the water surface.
The major consideration is the safety aspect put in place by the engineer, floating supports can be seen both at the base and corners of the house to ensure total control against any possibility of sinking.
Based on the design, the concept seems to be one of the cheapest and yet most aesthetic houses made for hobbyists. It will be an interesting technology for those living on the waterfront and those with a special hobby of sailing on the water. Either way, the technology could serve even beyond.
