TWO NEW ROBOTS BOUGHT BY FORD CHANGES THE WAY WE CARRY BOXES

Marshable twitter handle has revealed the two new robots acquired by Ford for the purpose of carrying boxes.

According to the test video, the two identical robots have undergone operational test to ascertain their efficiency and have been made commercially available for public use.  The biped robots are named ‘Digit’ and were made by Agility Robotics.

The new robots are different from the robots of its kind based on its ability to lift 40 pounds weight of load despite its light weight. Besides the load bearing capacity, the robot can operate in any whether condition, climb steps, make strong grip on floors, and make strong grips on the load it carries.

The light weight robot has foldability feature that makes it easy to squeeze into a small space for conveyance purposes.

It autonomously unfolds itself and stand straight on the floor, locate the nearby load, lift it up and take it to the programmed location.

A task that human could have been doing. The robot seems to make the load carrying job easier for human especially in emptying the loads inside the boot of your vehicle.

Ford aims at having ways to fully automate the ways load deliveries can be carried out. It is an exploration of new technology for safer and efficient load delivery using the artificial intelligence robots.

With its water resistance body materials, the robot can function effectively in all whether conditions. It equally has the ability to launch itself from the back of delivery trucks based on design.

Digit has the ability of picking up parcel or box weighing up to 40 pounds at the back of the ruck after launching itself on the floor autonomously, with a single grip using its two arms the robot can convey the box directly to your doorstep at a long walking distance away from the truck.

Digit is a headless-humanoid robot that has two arms and two legs. The appearance will portray it as a robot with no doubt. Ford hopes to make the new robots major machines in load and parcel delivery operations since the functionality of Digit made a lot of sense and was able to solve the last-50-feet delivery problem.
